Texas Insurance Company - Robert Otis Robert OtisChief Executive Officer

Mr. Otis joined National Lloyds Corporation from Allstate Insurance where he served as chief underwriting officer for Allstate’s personal lines of insurance and, prior to that, served as senior vice president of product line management for the company’s personal auto business.

 

Mr. Otis has more than 25 years of personal lines insurance experience. He began his career as an underwriter with SAFECO Insurance and held senior executive positions with Travelers Insurance and Middlesex Mutual Assurance. Mr. Otis also held executive positions with USAA where he specialized in underwriting, product development and product management for auto, property and specialty lines of business. Mr. Otis earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of Dayton and an MBA in management from Xavier University. He also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.

Texas Insurance Company - Carl Kirk Carl KirkExecutive Vice President, Underwriting

Carl is directly responsible for the Underwriting Department of the personal lines, flood and commercial areas of the companies. He has been with National Lloyds Corporation since 1981 in a wide array of management functions that include life & health, marketing, product development, state expansion and underwriting. Carl is a graduate of Baylor University with a BBA in Management.

Texas Insurance Company - Mitchell Jawitz Mitchell JawitzSenior Vice President of Operations and Sales

Mitch Jawitz has spent over 25 years in the insurance industry and is the Senior Vice President of Product Operations for National Lloyds. Mitch oversees product, pricing, sales, marketing and IT implementation. Prior to joining National Lloyds, Mitch worked for The Hanover Insurance Group as Vice President of Marketing and Distribution. He spent nearly six years with The Hartford in both product and marketing roles, and six years with Progressive managing their independent agency distribution system in 11 Mid-Atlantic States. Mitch started his career with Allstate Insurance and he holds a BA in economics from the University of California, San Diego.

Texas Insurance Company - Murali Chidurala Murali ChiduralaVice President, Product Management

Murali Chidurala came to National Lloyds from Farmers Group Insurance, where he served as Director in the product management group responsible for the company’s personal lines of business. Murali has previous experience in the banking industry, having served at HSBC Finance in their sales and marketing divisions. Murali received his Bachelor of Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in India in 1995. He earned an MBA from the University of Maryland in 2002.

Texas Insurance Company - Paul Boswell Paul BoswellVice President, Claims

Paul Boswell graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Management and Minor in Marketing in December 1989. Paul started with Farmers Insurance in February 1990 based in Houston, Texas as a Claims Representative. He progressed into the role of Field Adjuster followed by a Large Loss Claims Representative. He was then hired by Nationwide in January 1995 as a Large Loss Personal and Commercial Lines Claims Representative. He progressed into a Personal Lines Claims Manager role in 1999 based in Houston. Paul was then hired as a Property Audit Specialist for Nationwide as a consultant to the Texas Region in September 2002. He moved into a Personal Lines Claims Manager role in the North Carolina Region in February 2004 followed by a Commercial Lines Claims Manager in July 2009. He left Nationwide for the role of Vice President of Claims in November 2010 with National Lloyds Corporation.

Elena BanfiCompliance Attorney

Elena Banfi joined National Lloyds in 2015 as a Compliance Attorney and oversees compliance, regulatory and legal matters. Prior to joining National Lloyds, Elena was with Settlement Capital Corporation, a specialty financing company, and the U.S. Small Business Administration, Disaster Assistance Office. Her professional background also includes prior managerial roles and working as an adjunct professor for two local universities. Originally from Italy, where she graduated from Universita’ Cattolica, she later obtained a Master of Law degree from Syracuse University College of Law and is licensed to practice law in New York since 2004.

Mark LumpkinIT Director

Mark Lumpkin joined National Lloyds in 2015 as the IT Director. Prior to joining National Lloyds, Mark worked for Agricultural Workers Mutual Company as the Information Systems Director for 5 years. He also worked at Southern Mutual Insurance for 14 years. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a dual major in Risk Management and Insurance and Management Information Systems.
